20 Years of Corporate Service...

Spending almost 20 years working for a global manufacturing company allowed me to advance through a variety of roles and develop a well-rounded career.  Tenures in Information Technology, Project Management, Marketing and eBusiness allowed me  to participate in many special projects during my corporate career, including Business Process Reengineering, Total Quality Management initiatives, and major customer solicitations, including The Home Depot, Grainger, and Target.

As an early-adopter of the Internet and Internet technologies, I was part of a four-person team who was responsible for creating the first Internet Business Plan for Philips Lighting Company.  During my time as Professional Marketing Manager, I established an understanding of the lighting industry, forging strong relationships and developing a solid reputation within the lighting manufacturer and electrical distributor community.  As eBusiness Manager, in addition to being responsible for all Internet initiatives, I participated in customer sales meetings and promoted the use of the Internet as a business tool, educating distributor partners on the future of the Internet.  This responsibility included speaking at annual Key Customer Meetings, with the principals of Philips’ premiere distributors. 

Being part of a global giant was filled with opportunites, but something was missing.

A New Beginning...

My intentions in going out on my own were simple and the inspiration can be found on popular t-shirts that you have certainly seen - - “Do what you like, like what you do.”

Since leaving Corporate America in 2004, I established Archer Digital, successfully creating a multi-faceted business focused around digital media.   I have combined my passions of technology and photography in a way where I can work with many different people and in several different endeavors.

I do continue to maintain strong business relationships from my “previous life” and that  has led to opportunities to take leadership roles with Lighting.com (2007/2008) and LEDLampLocator.com, while still pursuing my other  interests.

I feel very fortunate to have found a great balance between business and pleasure these past 7 years.  Of course, my greatest pleasure is my family and I am extremely lucky to enjoy the time that I do with them ...time that has been greatly enhanced since I made my move.
